One of the things that we all have to deal with is how to deal with treachery and to actually grow from it. The reality is that treachery is becoming more and more common in our world, especially among those who are trusted. Let us begin by being honest in what is involved in dealing with treachery. The first is to understand what it means. Treachery is when someone betrays the trust of another. This act may be intentional, or accidental, but the result is always the same. A person’s word and personal integrity are proven to be worthless and the trust extended to him is destroyed. And, a tangential reality is that the person who trusted will be much less willing to trust again. While the right or wrongness of this may be debated, it is real non the less. So, “How do we win when we have been the subject of treachery?
The first decision we must make is that we will not become a victim. We will not let them control our lives. The second is that we will not take on their methods in retaliation. Then, we must never lower our level of integrity, and finally, we must commit it to the Lord Jesus Christ who is ALWAYS IN CONTROIL. If we truly believe in the power of God, then we can obey the Bible when it commands, “In all things give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
